It's about time to publish the first set of photos of my new Lindy Bop dresses. Here's Sinead dress in City Lights print, ironically photographed in the middle of the forest. I initially wanted this print as a skirt, but as it ran out of my size I went with the dress thinking 30£ isn't bad (and for everyone who is interested in this dress, it's now on sale for 21£). This wasn't the kind of dress that I felt like I had to have, but since I was already buying too other dresses (the other being a Sinead dress as well), I thought why the hell not. It's not like it was expensive.
I can gladly say this dress was worth the cost. I didn't know what to think about the polyester matte satin material, but I actually quite like it. It's a little bit shiny, but not so much as regular satin. The top is very stretchy and will fit girls of different sizes, but even though it's lined in the bust, the sleeves are not and might become transparent when stretched out. It didn't bother me, but my brother noted me about this issue and I thought I might as well mention it.
The dress came with a removable belt, which is honestly one of the reasons I bought this dress despite not initially being in love with it. Lindy Bop used to have these bow belts available at their site, but somehow I thought they wouldn't be good and ended up not buying any... I wish I had, because this belt is great quality and really nips in my waist (which the dress doesn't do on its own because of the gathered waist).
The skirt is really lovely, it's full enough for me (unlike their Ophelia dresses), I love the gathers and how the skirt looks in different lightning. It has tiny little hidden pockets which barely fit a lipstick, but it's good to have them anyway.
All in all I really like this dress. I bought mine in size UK10/S and it fits true to size, just like the other Sinead dress I bought. I'm happy Lindy Bop's dresses have the same fit in different prints and it seems like their quality is good too. I seriously haven't had a single disappointment about their products so far and I'm very confused about that, because I always thought cheap = bad quality, but it's so nice to realize that isn't always the case. Sometimes you can get a great bargain even for a full price.
